It’s been a busy season around here. We’ve been traveling, creating, building, and somewhere in the middle of it all, exchanging currency at the airport got us thinking about Kingdom building…again.

So much of what we’re taught to value is based on what we can see: numbers, recognition, growth, money, influence and success. But what God values often looks very different.

Faithfulness may not feel significant when there isn’t much to show for it yet. Obedience may look like a step backward when everyone else seems to be moving ahead. And sometimes what God is asking us to build simply won’t make sense to the people around us.

That’s part of what makes building in the Kingdom so different. Not everyone will understand the vision, and we won’t always understand it ourselves. But we can’t measure what God is doing by the world’s standards.

Something can look small, slow or insignificant and still carry tremendous Kingdom value.

So keep creating even when what you’re creating doesn’t look valuable by the world’s standards. What God has placed in you is worth stewarding, and the work you’re doing may carry more Kingdom value than you can see right now.
