According to Merriam-Webster, a parable is “a usually short fictitious story that illustrates a moral attitude or a religious principle.”

When we were deciding the name of our company, we thought Parable Creative was a fitting name because it represents the dedication we have to storytelling. Throughout scripture, Jesus powerfully used parables to communicate the most important truths to his listeners.

We felt that “Parable” clearly represents that all our work, whether it be choosing the colors that represent a client’s brand to producing podcasts or video episodes, was all about telling the deeper stories that drive our client’s missions.

The funny thing is, now that we are three years into this thing, we see clearly that Parable Creative is actually being used by God to tell us a story about Himself.

Each client is a story, showing us the many facets of his heart and how he uses us all as His hands and feet.

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12: 27

Every secured project is a tale of his provision to us and our families.

“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” Matthew 6:26

All of the open and closed doors are chapters in our history.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

As storytellers, we are so grateful that our God has crafted a parable for us of his promises, his heart, and his hope.

Cheers to many more years of sitting at the feet of the greatest storyteller in history.
